L'Accademia di Francia venne creata nel 1666 sotto l'impulso di Jean Baptiste Colbert, Charles Le Brun e Gian Lorenzo Bernini ed accoglieva sia i vincitori del Prix de Rome, sia i borsisti protetti dai grandi nobili francesi. I giovani artisti nomina…ti dal re, avevano così la possibilità di accrescere la loro formazione grazie al contatto con Roma e l'Italia.Litografia stampata a colori e rifinita alla "gomme". Ampi margini, con antico restauro al bordo destro. Complessivamente gode di un ottimo stato di conservazione.
