The South Nottinghamshire Hussars was formed as the Nottinghamshire (South Nottinghamshire) Yeomanry Cavalry in 1794 as part of the response to the French Revolutionary Wars. It became the Southern Nottinghamshire Regiment of Yeomanry Cavalry in 1826. Converted to artillery in 1922, it presently forms part of 103 (Lancashire Artillery Volunteers) Regiment, Royal Artillery. This history of the Regiment from 1794 to 1924 also contains a Roll of Honour. The book is bound in the original blue cloth covered boards with a yellow cloth spine, gold titling on the spine and a gold stamped Badge of the Regiment on the front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with shelf wear to the boards (mostly noticeable on the front board) and some light soiling. The spine and about 1" of the yellow cloth on the spine edge on the front board is darkened and the spine ends are bumped. There is a small bit of loss to the cloth on the tip of the bottom front corner and there is a small dent on the top and bottom edges of the rear board. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription. PLEASE NOTE: This is a fairly heavy book and extra postage may apply for delivery outside the UK.

paperback.
