J. von Reilly (Wien 1766 - 1820) war Verleger, Kartograf und Schriftsteller. 1789 bis 1806 entstand der "Atlas Schauplatz der fünf Theile der Welt", der auf seinen 830 Blättern aber nur Europa behandelt. Seine kartografischen Erzeugnisse / er produzierte insgesamt etwa 1000 unterschiedliche Kartenblätter / hatten wesentlichen Anteil daran, dass Wien im späten 18. und frühen 19. Jahrhundert zu einem Zentrum der kommerziellen kartografischen Produktion im deutschsprachigen Raum wurde.
