She made her classical debut as a recitalist at New York's Town Hall and opera debut as Mimi in Puccini's La Bohème (1955). She preferred a career as a recitalist singing German Lieder, Negro spirituals, and art songs. John (Giovanni) P. Pitcherale (1919?-1998) was a friend of The Boston Symphony Orchestra. He is also listed as one of the principal correspondents in The Papers of Eleanor Roosevelt. Condition: Fine condition. Signed by Author(s).
