    Hard Cover. Condition: G. First Edition. 335 pgs. + 2 pgs. errata, 6 1/4" x 9 1/4", Grey cloth with gilt title etc on spine, vignette skech on front cover & spine, across bottom of front cover approx. 1/2" has been rubbed & worn with the bottom front corner tip frayed away, back cover at bottom on left side toward corner has an area approx. 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" that has been rubbed & worn, top corners show some wear, green/white design endpapers, front inner hinge is cracked & shows webbing but still very tight, aprrox. 3" to 4" at bottom of pages throughout book lessening towards the end has a bit of rippling which seemingly is from past dampness of which the first pgs. have some very light tan stain marks, o/w content is clean & tight with b/w photos & 2 b/w foldout maps which are in VG cond., a few pages have a tear & a few have some chipping, pg. 159 at bottom margin has a stripe about 1/8" missing & up the side for about 1 1/2", side foredge has toning spots, Still a good copy inspite of its flaws, The book contains many first hand accounts of the action of the 12th Virginia Infantry directly from the veterans with many pages dealing with first hand accounts of the Petersburg Defenses, and the Battle of the Crater.
