Quarto. 85 pp. Illustrated in color and in black and white with an index for each illustration. Catalogue for the 1970 exhibition at University of Arizona Museum of art. He was born in 1908. As a child, he would indulge in all the childish pranks to obtain crayons and suitable materials to satisfy his strong desire to draw and paint. Later in life he might be called an abstract expressionist, since he was inspired by the configuration of the external world, though none of the details conform. He developed upon his canvas supernatural, jewel-like pigments and arbitrary, rugged textures which carried the overall pattern so fast that one scarcely knows or cares what it represents. But the painting expresses what inspired it with force of emotion stronger than most abstract canvases. A fine bright copy bound in mustard cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt, near fine in very good pictorial dust jacket with faint damp stain near head of rear panel. No names or bookplates.

Aucune reliure. Condition: Bon. 1ère Édition. Paris, P.C.C. Lorjou, septembre 1961. Gravure.
