Draft script for an unproduced film. Based on Richard Parker's 1953 crime novel of the same name. Laid in is a typed letter from Mage to the Paul Kohner agency in Los Angeles, dated July 1, 1968, and signed by Mage, requesting that the script be considered for development, and that Mr. Gugo-Salice of Lux Films France is interested in producing the film. Mage's name and contact information also on the first leaf, in manuscript ink. Black titled wrappers. Title page present, dated 1966, noted as FIRST DRAFT, with credits for screenwriters Mage and Revon, and novelist Parker. 137 leaves, with last page of text numbered 134, and a laid-in letter. Mechanical duplication. Pages and wrapper Near Fine, bound internally with two gold brads.

Vintage pressbook for the 1970 French film. From the collection of artist and author Duncan Hannah. Duncan Hannah was a key figure in the burgeoning New York underground arts scene, befriending Andy Warhol and his superstars, Lou Reed, Allen Ginsberg, Patti Smith, Salvador Dali, and many others. A graduate of the Parsons School of Design, his paintings were exhibited in the influential 1980 Times Square Show alongside work by Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat, and several of his paintings are held in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The penultimate film in François Truffaut's five-film series about the character Antoine Doinel. In this entry, Doinel and his wife are expecting their first child when he has an affair with a woman he meets in a business meeting at his new job. Shot on location in Paris. 9.25 x 12.5 inches. Three vintage studio still photographs from the US release of the 1965 French film. With provenance stamps on the verso of each, one with three labels obscuring its provenance stamps. Valeria Ciangottini stars as a 19-year-old Parisian girl, who after a messy love affair, openly decides to become a prostitute and signs a contract with a ruthless pimp. When her first client, an old man who owns a marketing agency, dies in her arms, and a young, handsome company executive comes to investigate the death, it's love at first sight. 8 x 10 inches. Two, Near Fine, one, Very Good plus with faint creasing and a wax pencil annotation to the bottom margin.

Vintage oversize borderless reference photograph of Claude Jade from the 1969 film. "Raymond Depardon-Gamma" photographer stamp on verso. Raymond Depardon is a Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist who, in 1966, co-founded the prestigious photojournalism agency Gamma, and became director in 1973. He also the director of several documentary shorts and feature films, having directed 17 films since 1969, including the 1990 documentary short "La Captive du Desert," which was nominated for the Palm d'Or at the 1990 Cannes Film Festival. The third of Truffaut's series of five films wherein Léaud portrays Truffaut's semi-autobiographical Antoine Doinel. Set in and shot on location in Paris, France. 8 x 11.75 inches.
