Red cloth, gilt titles to spine and front, and colour pictorial dustjacket. 184pp, quarto, 29.5 x 25cm.… Very well illustrated throughout with colour reproductions of paintings by the artist Jean Le Fèvre from all periods of his oeuvre, many full page, plus many b&w drawings. With chronology of his life illustrated with b&w photos. Texts by various authors including Trehet and Jef Friboulet intersperse the reproductions. Born in 1933 in Caen, Le Fèvre's paints scenes of everyday life and landscapes in a bold simplifying style that uses very colourful, sensuous paint. A Very Good+ copy in a Very Good dustjacket. with just some light handling marks to the laminate surface and edges of the jacket, and some light marks to back cover cloth. Pictures available.
