No Binding. Condition: Collectible-Fine. Swedish text. Original black-and-white photo postcard. No date, circa 1930s-1940s. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2." Photographer's imprint at bottom of the image and on back. Front: "Akta Fotografi; Foto & ensamratt Berndt Johnsson, Malmo." Back: "Forlag: Berndt Johnsson, Malmo, Nr. B. 9." Postcard is unused. Postcard is very clean and intact except for slight age toning and slight wrinkling. A Fine copy. This postcard shows Stortorget, a medieval square, in Lund, Sweden. It has been established that the square began to be laid out in the mid-eleventh century. The process of placing the stonework likely began during the thirteenth century. The view on the postcard shows buildings along the square, some of which bear the signs of "Sparbank" and "Bageri." People mill about on the streets. …
