Reliure pastiche du XXe siècle.L'auteur de ce Kochbuch est Bernhard Buchinger qui fut abbé de Lucelle en Haute-Alsace, de 1654 à 1673. Cet opuscule fut imprimé, non pas à Molsheim (comme l'indique le titre), mais à Porrentruy, chez l'imprimeur privilégié du Prince-Evêque de Bale, lequel imprimeur se nommait en effet, Jean-Henri Straubhaar. De son officine sont sortis d'autres opuscules de Buchinger. Une seconde édition a paru à Mulhouse ("Lautterbach-Mülhausen") chez Johann Heinrich Meyer en 1672. Fac-similé de ce rare livre de gastronomie alsacienne. Ce fac-similé a apparemment été réalisé d'après l'exemplaire conservé à la BNU (Landesbibliothek Strassburg Kaiseruniversität, M 31346).
