Title page dated 1964, copyright page dated only 1965. 412 pages. Note on title page reads "LPB purchased Dec 2010, on EN," in reference to former owner Lincoln P. Brower (a noteworthy conservationist and butterfly researcher) and his bibliographical organization program, Endnote. Half title page is inscribed by the author, "To G-- [prior owner, no connection to Brower] With respect and affection even across a thousand miles. Marvin." Pages are clean and bright. Binding is tight and secure. We've got a wonderful bookcase or two of books from Lincoln Brower's collection listed here. Everything you know about Monarch Butterflies, you know because of Brower's work, both scientific and outreach. He was a great teacher, an important researcher, a torch-bearing conservationist, and a leading light in lepidoptery. We are extremely excited to offer his books. This is an oversized book, so extra shipping will be necessary for priority or international shipping.
