Hardcover. Condition: Poor. 1st Edition. Full-page colour plates and one double page (the final plate on page 65 is missing), with sepia vignettes on text pages which are written in verse. pp. 64, patterned front and rear paste-downs but both front and rear endpapers are missing as well as page 66. Cloth backed colour pictorial paper covered boards. The book is in poor condiition, with the pages coming loose from the cover. It has seen much use with some pages showing edgewear and tears, although there are no internal marks. oblong 4to.

Other than slight wear to edge of lower outer corner, in near perfect condition, with no marks or damage. Protected by loose clear plastic wraparound cover. Oblong 4to. A very scarce title.

Blue hessian backstrip, torn and frayedat head and tail of spine. Page 31/32 torn without loss, pages browned, lacks rear free endpaper. Extra illustrated page from another book. Binding is shaken with upper binding thread broken on first section, separation between pages 32 and 33 and between pages 48 and 49. A charmingly illustrated picture book originally intended for children but with stereotypes that are not now generally accepted. Contains many colour illustrations. No dust jacket, as published. FIRST EDITION 1906, date printed on title page, oblong 4to, 220 x 285 mm, 8½ x 11 inches, cloth backed colour illustrated boards, 64 pages. Coloured title illustration and 31 splendid full page coloured illustrations, other line illustrations. Golly lives out Crusoe's experiences. Tail of spine and corners very slightly worn, 10 mm (½") light water stain on upper hinge, not showing on spine itself, a few very light scratches to boards, hardly noticeable. Ink name on front endpaper (see image), very slight faint foxing to 1 lower margin, contents exceptionally nice. Very good plus bright tight clean copy.
