Frühe italienische Ausgabe der bedeutenden spanischen Chronik des Humanisten Anton Beuter (Antonio Beuter), eines der wichtigsten Geschichtswerke zur Frühzeit des Königreichs Valencia und zur Geschichte Spaniens insgesamt. Das Werk schildert die Ereignisse "vom Sintflut bis zur Regierungszeit König Jaimes von Aragón", der Valencia im 13. Jahrhundert eroberte. Diese italienische Übersetzung, besorgt von Alfonso de Ulloa, erschien 1556 in Venedig bei Ferrari und richtet sich an das humanistische Lesepublikum der Renaissance, das besonderes Interesse an der Geschichte Spaniens und seiner Königreiche zeigte. Ein ausgesprochen schönes und authentisches Renaissance-Einbandexemplar. - Einband etwas beschädigt, zum Teil restauriert. Titelblatt fehlt (eine Kopie ist vorne lose eingelegt). Sonst sauber und gut erhaltenes Exemplar.
