Spiral_bound. Condition: g to vg. Facsimile edition. Oblong octavo. (32pp.) 18 single sided leaves, bound in thick cardboard white wrappers with a plastic spiral binding. The content is a facsimile of an original publication from 1918, discussing both the history and the then current state of the Jewish community in Belarus, by Belarusian-Jewish writer ?mitrok Biadula*. The original illustrated wrappers and each of the original 32 pages are reproduced in b/w collotypes after negative prints taken of the book, in double-page spreads. Each of the pages of this facsimile are single sided. This reproduction is apparently based on the copy held at the library of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, as the back of each leaf has the stamp of the library. In this copy the leaf reproducing p.18-19 is out of order and is the last leaf. Text in Belarusian. Binding with some of the spiral rings chipped or missing. Front cover with some smudges and scratches. Back cover with closed tear front the top edge, and a chipped paper label pasted on. Binding in good, interior in very good condition overall. * ?mitrok Biadula (or Bjadulja, 1886-1941) was a Belarusian-Jewish poet, essayist, literary critic, editor and political activist. *Zmitrok Bjadulja (alternate spelling).
