Believed he was caught trying to get too close to the enemy. 12 tipped in colour plates and drawings throughout of comrades in the camps with names and details, pale yellow cloth boards, green cloth spine with gilt titles along the side. Some light edge rubbing, dustwrapper chipped at edges near spine and closed split at top front edge near spine, but all complete, also wrapper handled feel on cover. Contents very good.
