(The title's reference to "Truman Decision" refers to the author's perspective that the costs inflicted by the kamikaze attacks and underlying martial philosophy they reflected are a justification for President Harry S Truman's authorization of the use of atomic bombs.) This copy is inscribed by Bill Sholin to a gunnery officer on the USS Hutchins, a ship that underwent a kamikaze attack. Sholin's credits the gunny with providing material for the book, the gunny appears in a photo of the Hutchins, a tribute page to the gunny has been pasted on the front free endpapers. Blue buckram, 124 pages, illustrated. Minimal sign of previous use. Signed by Author(s).
