Rare folio work illustrated with hand coloured plates on the costume of the Low Countries, originally issued in fourteen parts. Although the title identifies this volume as the first series, no further parts were published. "It is the most variegated costume book of the Low Countries" (Landwehr). Colas 333; Landwehr 242.

Collated. 56 hand-finished color tinted plates (Plates 9-12 bound out of order). 3 plates slightly trimmed and with amateur restoration. A few plates with slight marginal damp staining. Moderate toning and scattered foxing. Rare folio work on the costumes of the Low Countries. Landwehr calls this "the most variegated costume book of the Low Countries".
