Add to basketNo Binding. Condition: Good. A4 typewritten sheets as follows: May 5th and 6th are printed on one side only. May 7th runs to three pages. May 8th is one page with copious notes in pencil on verso made on the day e.g. 'PM to broadcast at 9.30 tonight;' 'communists continue to spread false reports'. May 12th is half a sheet declaring the strike to be off. Some issues are printed and published by Sir Charles Hyde, Bart., 6 Cannon Street, Birmingham, at the request of the government for public information. Others are published by the B'ham Trade Union Emergency Committee. This is probably a complete run as May 8th is number 4, but it is difficult to be sure. Pinned together in the top corner and folded in half, top issue slightly soiled. These provincially published General Strike newspapers are much scarcer than the nationally distributed British Gazette.
