This copy is in at least near fine condition with only a bit of wear at the spine crown and a touch of fading to the red cloth on the spine to downgrade this copy from fine. The red cloth covers show virtually no edge or corner wear and the color illustrations by Jean Macdonald on the front cover is in fine condition. The interior text shows illustrated endpapers, the color frontispiece and numerous half-and full-page black-and-white illustrations by Jean Macdonald Porter.
