Add to basketIncisione in rame, colorata díepoca a tutto campo, mm 420x500, testo latino. Amsterdam, c. 1640s; This stunning map of Frankfurt, Germany, by the foremost cartographer of the 17th century, is beautifully hand colored and intricately detailed. The map is surrounded by intricate coats of arms of several dignitaries of the Frankfurt area. Presented at the very t…op are the four allegorical figures representing Ivstitia (Justice), Consilivm (Counsel), Concordia (Concord) and Pax (Peace). This very detailed map extends as far west as Hoechst, Hanau in the east, Imhaim in the south and Nidern Esbach in the north. It is an extremely fine, decorative example of Blaeu's many regional maps, perhaps his finest. Size: 23 x 20 inches. Map.
