Ex Imperial War Museum stock with discreet stamps and 'Withdrawn from stock' mark, but no other library labels or marks. 12mo. pp. 165 notably with 219 black and white photographs and 3 maps. A First World War memoir of a member of the 2nd Battalion Black Watch, a constituent battalion of the 21st Brigade, Tigris Force which fought at the siege of Kut-al-amara. Includes a brief service record of each officer and a Roll of Honour for the Battalion. The author and battalion are not expressly identified in the book, but were later identified from the contents of the service records. A book in Good condition with a tight binding, with worn but complete covers and spine. Half-title hinge partly detached, tear to title page, but otherwise undamaged with clean contents.…
