This copy signed twice by the author - signature only under the limitations statement, then below that the author has inscribed, "To Leona, relative of Carl T. Sprague - 'the original singing cowboy' - best wishes" and signed a second time. Carl Sprague was one of the first country musicians on record, recording in the early 1920's. (There's a photo of him on page 84, and a bit of text on page 107). According to a note written on the front endpage, Leona was his sister. Good. No dust jacket, likely as issued. Corners of red cloth boards slightly worn. Written in ink on the front endpage is the previous owner's name, the author's name and the notation about Carl Sprague being the previous owner's brother.
