Saint-Nicolas-de-Port, Pierre Jacobi, 1518. Petit in-folio (26 x 18,5 cm), [2] f. (fac-simile), [129] f., [1] f. (facsimile), basane brune, dos à nerfs muet, ornements à froid au dos et sur les plats (reliure pastiche moderne). Lors de la bataille de Nancy (1477), René II duc de Lorraine, qui n'a que 24 ans, inflige une cuisante défaite au duc de Bourgogne, Charles le Téméraire. Cette bataille est pour les Lorrains aussi célèbre que celle de Marignan en 1515 pour les Français, car elle leur assura l'indépendance du duché de Lorraine pour un long moment (jusqu'en 1766). René souhaite que cette victoire soit connue par tout le royaume et au-delà de ses frontières. Pour se faire, il commande à Pierre de Blarru (1437-1505), chanoine de Saint-Dié, cet imposant poème épique de 5044 vers rédigés en latin : la Nancéide ou Liber Nanceidos. Le poème sera imprimé plus tard par son fils, en 1518 à Saint-Nicolas-de-Port sous les presses de Pierre Jacobi, et accompagné d'une glose. Marquant le pas après le demi-siècle des incunables, l'ouvrage est illustré de 35 gravures sur bois par l'artiste lorrain Gabriel Salmon. Une série réalisée peu de temps après la bataille qui offre au lecteur, étape par étape, une riche et fidèle iconographie chronologique des évènements. Exemplaire au privilège de la première édition, mais à deuxième feuille d'errata, dans une reliure moderne pastiche. Restaurations soignées : des manques sur la page de titre ont été restitués par des fac-similés, cinq réparations des marges, la page d'errata corrigeant 12 erreurs du texte est doublée d'un fac-similé de la page d'errata originale corrigeant alors 16 erreurs, autres restaurations matginales.
