Jacket is black with white titling, housed in a new archival mylar sleeve. Volume is in maroon cloth quarter binding with tan paper boards, with silver titling along spine. Jacket shows moderate shelf and edge wear, with scratches to covers; light age toning and foxing; small closed tears along edges; fraying at the head and tail of spine; and slight water damage along the top edge. Front flap is faintly creased. Jacket is price clipped. Boards show light shelving wear along edges, with some faint water damage to top edges. Text block shows moderate foxing along edges. Lightly age toned throughout. Surface tearing to front flyleaf. Signed flat in black marker by author William Peter Blatty on a paper slip adhered to title page. Gift inscription from author's son (Michael Peter Blatty) on half title page: "For Roxanna - From the first person to read this book, her friend Michael. 4/21/16". An ALS, also from Michael Blatty, is laid in, which explains that the author's signature adhered to the title page was clipped from another of Michael's signed copies of The Exorcist.
