Comunque piccolo di mole, questo Memoriale, e destinato a preparare in Francia la via al ripristinamento dell'ordine di s. Domenico, a cui presentemente appartiene l'insigne autore francese, esso tratta pero' di materie che sono di comune interesse e poste tutto giorno in discussione. Siamo in un'epoca che potrebbe chiamarsi della ristorazione religiosa, ristorazione promossa da una specie di necessita' dopo un mezzo secolo di sconvolgimenti e di distruzione, ma contrastata altresi' da un partito tenace ancora delle tradizioni filosofiche del secolo XVIII.'
