The publisher's blurb reads: ''Mr. Bodrero, a well known artist and a skilled horseman, set out with a friend, two vaqueros and three pack horses to follow Washington Irving's account of discovering the Alhambra -- riding along paths that cars could not travel. They went through towns inaccessible to tourists -- one of them was Arcos, a town clinging to the side o f a cliff and famous for its gypsy singing and Flamenco. They stayed in posadas, a kind of hotel for horsemen, with stables below and rooms above. The most well know town they visited was Ronda, the home of bullfighting, with the oldest ring in Spain. An off-beat travel book.''
