Sur quelques essais de photographie des émissions de radiovision de Londres et d'une station locale sur ondes couotes. Note (') de MM. DANIEL BODROUX et RENÉ RIVAULT, présentée par M. A. Cotton." In Comptes Rendus de l'Academie des Sciences, 23 July 1934, vol 199, pp 269-271 in the weekly issue of pp 249-328. This is the full weekly issue extracted from a larger bound volume. Good condition. __+__ This is an early work in the history of televsion, telling of the experiments conducted by Bodroux and Rivault at Poitiers on a signal broadcast from London. (This is a continuation of an earlier article in the CR from 17 July 1933), and are recorded as Shiers television bibliography #s 4546 and 4003, respectively.) The report tells of variations in equipment along with their 30m antenna to create clearer images. There is also a report on an ingenious devices they constructed to make photographic images of the broadcast--three of the images are reproduced in the text and pictured here. __+__ From the paper (translated): "The substitution of this receiver for the previous one, which required an antenna of 30m to obtain a correct reception of the images of London, brought about a very noticeable reduction in the number of multiple images, the production of which thus seems, at least in part, to be linked to the dimensions. of the air used. The reality of this reduction in the number of abnormal images was verified by carrying out two simultaneous receptions on two equipped devices, one with an 1m antenna, the other with a 30m antenna.".
