Darüber hinaus kann die Nutzung des Themas Hochzeit im Rahmen des Marketings und zur Umsetzung der Kommunikationsziele als Hochzeitsmarketing bezeichnet werden. Hochzeitsmarketing kann in Bezug auf Hochzeitsplanung dem Veranstaltungsmarketing zugeordnet werden, da es um die Vermarktung von Veranstaltungen geht. Um den Bedarf des Hochzeitsplaners zu begründen, ist zunächst festzuhalten, dass aufgrund gesellschaftlicher Veränderungen ein Wandel des Heiratsverhaltens in Deutschland stattgefunden hat.
