No Binding. Condition: Very Good. (Music Interest) Bolin, Marty. Jefferson Airplane 1969 Summer Itinerary Typescript. San Francisco: Jefferson Airplane, 1969. [1] leaf measuring 8-1/2" x 11". This typescript is on the verso of a sheet of Marty Bolin's engraved Jefferson Airplane letterhead stationery. The document details the schedule of the San Francisco based rock band, Jefferson Airplane, between May 27-September 12, 1969. May and June were mainly dedicated to recording with only one firm show date scheduled, a single set in Santa Barbara on June 6. On July the 4th, Jefferson Airplane was scheduled to perform "one set at night" at the Atlanta Pop Festival; the rest of the month of July was off with the exception of a "Tentative" trip to Moscow "with Pennebaker and his crew, for the opening of the Monterey Pop Festival film at the Moscow Film Festival." August was filled with show and tour dates including for August 16: "WOODSTOCK POP FESTIVAL, New York - one set at night (the name of this festival may be changed);" and for August 22-23-24: the ill-fated "SAN FRANCISCO POP FESTIVAL," later renamed the Wild West Festival, that was cancelled at the last minute due to the opposition to it by the local residents. Several other "possibilities that may arise during the summer" are also listed, including a tour of Japan in September; typescript, which is dated 5/22/69 closes with the apropos "This is the summer situation as it appears now; however, 'everything is subject to change.'" The condition of the typescript is VERY GOOD; leaf with minor spotting and soiling, and some soft creasing to the lower edge and one corner.
