Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a collection of tributes and remembrances for Judge Sherlock James Andrews, a prominent lawyer and politician from Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from Union College, he ventured west to Cleveland in 1825, where he formed a law partnership with Judge Samuel Cowles. Later, he entered a new partnership with John A. Foot and James M. Hoyt under the title Andrews, Foot & Hoyt. Before being elected to represent the Cleveland district in Congress, Andrews gained recognition for his eloquence as an advocate. Following his single term in Congress, he returned to the practice of law and was elected Judge of the Superior Court of Cleveland. Andrews played a leading role in revising the state constitution and served as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention of 1873. Andrews is remembered not only for his brilliance but for his modesty, integrity, and genuine love for his family and community. The tributes in this book provide a glimpse into the life of a man whose character was marked by unwavering faith, compassion, and service to others. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
