Shortly after D-Day, Robert Boscawen, fresh from Cambridge, found himself in Normandy with his Coldstream Guards tank troop. This work explores the month that followed until his evacuation as a casualty in the closing stages of the Second World War. His diary became a record, full of perceptive commentary, during this period. Written by Robert Thomas Boscawen, a British Conservative politician. He was the last member of the House of Commons to hold a Military Cross for action during the Second World War. In the original full cloth binding.
