Some light and scattered foxing, otherwise a nice, fresh copy in an attractive binding. Published anonymously. A revised edition of the book first published in 1757-64, with a new foreword setting out the projected nine parts which would complete the work; but Botin died in 1790 and completed only the first four, tracing the history of the Swedish people to the year 1250.

Samtida brunt halvfranskt band med titeletikett i brunt skinn, stänkmålade pärmpapper och röda snitt. illustrerad med ett antal träsnittsvinjetter. Ägaretikett för Swen Israel Nyman på första titelbladet. Ryggen något nött, med en spricka i övre framfals och en fläck. Pärmhörnen nötta och pärmarna med fläckar. Inlagan med ett fåtal spridda småfläckar och c:a 30 blad med litet maskhål i yttermarginalen. Svenskt biografiskt lexikon skriver: "Genom sin »Beskrifning om svenska hemman och jordagods» (1755?56) skapade Botin ett verkligt betydande arbete inom den inre svenska historien. Vid 1739 års riksdag hade ständerna påyrkat utgivandet av en samling gällande kamerala författningar av samma art som den bekanta, av bergskollegiet ombesörjda samlingen av bergsförfattningar. Botin, kronofogdesonen, grep sig an med uppgiften men nöjde sig ej med att till praktiskt bruk sammanställa författningstexterna utan gav en systematisk framställning av gällande rätt med ständig hänvisning till äldre urkunder, för att hans läsare skulle få jämväl 'ett historiskt begrepp om själva målet'. Så blev hans verk den första stora sammanfattningen av den svenska kameralistiken. Botins verk skulle enligt hans kontrakt med boktryckaren Lars Salvius (19 apr. 1755) omfatta fem band, men därav utkommo tyvärr endast de båda första delarna, som skildra hemman och kronohemman i allmänhet.".
