Rilegato. Condition: molto buono. prima edizione. A Saintes, Chez Pierre Toussaints, 1769. In-8° (19,8 cm x 13,6 cm). Pp. X, 184, (6). Segnatura: A-Z4, Aa-Bb4. Solida legatura coeva in piena pelle marrone. Tagli rossi. Testo inquadrato entro cornice xilografica. Paris, Théophile Barrois, 1785. 8°, frontispiece-portrait, XVI, 208 pages and 26 plates printed in colour ; contemporary marbled sheep, flat spine gilt. Joints partly split, corners rubbed ; occasional marginal foxing. Sixth edition of this obstetric treatise for the use of midwives and students, by the most famous influential and pioneering midwife of the Ancien Régime. It features a portrait of the author and 26 copperplate engravings after drawings by Chaparre, printed in colour by Jean Robert using the three-colour process invented by his master Le Blon.
Couverture rigide. Condition: Bon.
