Il contient notamment un mémoire sur la rivière du Loiret et ses poissons, "sur une Rose rouge monstrueuse", ainsi que la relation de diverses bizarreries de la nature: écrevisses bleues, lapins jaunes, alouette à trois pattes, pigeon avec quatre cuisses, uf cylindrique de poule, etc. Une partie est consacrée à la Minéralogie de l'Orléanais dans laquelle l'auteur détaille les particularités minéralogiques et géologiques des villages de la région.
