Blue cloth; spine head chipped and frayed with lesser wear at heel; some slender wear and loss at board corners; spine's gilt lettering dulled but legible with front board's gilt stamped lettering still bright. Strong toning to edges with interior text leaves affected likewise but with toning diminishing inward from margins (paper stock utilized by printer affected by "economy standards," i.e. wartime-period rationing regulation).
