Roger Lancelyn Green (1918-1987) was a British biographer and children's writer. He went on a literary pilgrimage around Britain from his home in Cheshire, in an attempt to get to know various authors and the places they lived, and how it influenced their writing and is reflected in their books. Authors included are Charles Kingsley, Mrs. Molesworth, Beatrix Potter, Sir Walter Scott, Robert Louis Stevenson, Lewis Carroll, Tennyson, Charles Dickens, George Macdonald, Milton, Shakespeare, and Shelley. The book is bound in the original yellowish-brown boards with gold titling on the spine. The case of the book is in very good condition with light bumping to the spine ends and a dent on the bottom edge of the front board. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription.
