Unmarked end papers. The page block has brown and white mosaic patterned cut edges, is tightly bound and clean. No dedications etc. Includes pronunciation marks and has appendix with classical and foreign words and phrases, forms of address, abbreviations, etc. Issued without jacket. Rare.

Subtitle for Italian, German & French dictionaries:"Containing dialogues for all occasions, motoring, photographic, architectural terms, Christian & geographical names, etc." Subtitle for Spanish dictionary:"Containing dialogues for all occasions, List Of Geographical, Christian Names, Photographic Terms, Automobile Parts, etc." German dictionary includes a List of irregular verbs and blank pages for notes. The Spanish dictionary is showing the most wear with the other three volumes having slight wear. The Spanish dictionary has scratching, smudging and creasing to the covers. Gilt lettering on spine is slightly dulled. Top corner of front cover and some inside pages are creased. All volumes have marbled page edgings on all sides. The French dictionary Title Page has "Revised And Corrected" Both sections of each dictionary have separate pagination. French & German dictionaries have 509 pages; Italian dictionary has 504 pages and the Spanish dictionary has 510 pages. Leather box has wear especially at the metal clasp. Slight tearing and creasing to top flap. None of the dictionaries have a date so 1940 is a guess on my part. Learn the definition of: 'neblina'; 'izza'; 'ete'; 'koffer'.
