This book corresponds with Fulton 24A, with the "Genevae" imprint, and including the defence against Linus. Latin edition with bound together the original theory and Boyle's refutation of criticisms by Franciscus Linus and others. The defence contains the first formulation of Boyle's law. The defence initially appeared in 1662, this being the second edition in Latin. Bound in recent brown quarter leather with gilt spine titling and brown stipple cloth boards. The original leaves are wormed all the way through in the lower margins, not affecting text and incumbents long gone. An area around an inch square in the spine corner and opposite corner on first 90 pages is thus affected. Paper has general dusky marks and age darkening but not excessive for a work this age.
