No marked, creased, or torn pages, with normal aging of paper over time. Book contains images of original pen drawings throughout. Binding is secure and all pages are intact. A good historic copy about the pioneers of Los Angeles. Several newspaper clippings are found at the inside back cover of this book, covering the legacy of the author's ancestors, William Workman (born in 1841), Andrew A. Boyle, the author's maternal grandfather, and his father, William H. Workman, in an area now known as Boyle Heights. The author was born in 1868.
