    Hardcover. Condition: Good. Volume XVI, [10]pp + xiv pp + 436pp + 154pp, folding maps of the railways of Great Britain, India and Europe, maroon leather boards, gilt titles, the brass clasp lacking. The contents in very good condition, the maps with closed tears as usual, the boards edge rubbed and the front joint parting but holding firmly. From the LMS Central Records Office at Euston Station. The front cover carries the name of W Cawkwell, who was the General Manager of the London & North Western Railway from 1858 to 1874. Usually found in green cloth the leather bound variants were for presentation to senior railway officials.
