Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Oblong octavo. String-tied quarter papercovered cardboard with wooden (cypress?) boards decorated with desert scenes. Owner name of 2nd Lt. Frederick Stanley Brady indicating that he bought the album in Palestine in 1946, Modest wear, very good or better. 90 gelatin silver snapshots, mostly measuring 3.5" x 2.5", with a few larger, plus one commercial postcard. A half dozen images have fallen out or are otherwise lacking. Most of the images are in Palestine, in Acre and Ramle, probably from souvenir sets, with captions cut and pasted below the images. The remaining, perhaps a little less than half, are snapshots taken by a British soldier. The first is of crying native children in Sudan "taken by myself". The rest are of his colleagues in desert uniforms, mostly in a truck convoy, in camp, with their dog (complete with jaunty beret), with a few on motorcycles.…
