In the first part, we investigated the effect of the europium ion concentration on the BaCO matrix. The results obtained by XRD revealed that the samples consist of the orthorhombic BaCO phase. We used the Judd-Offelt theory to calculate the Judd parameters and deduce the spontaneous emission probabilities, the lifetimes of the emitting levels and the quantum yield of the emission. The results showed that 1% Eu -doped BaCO exhibited favourable characteristics for laser emission in the red region. In the second part, we studied the spectroscopic properties of the Eu /Dy ions in the matrix. The results obtained via electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) confirm the presence of Eu and Dy ions in BaCO through the resonance of their unpaired electrons. Analysis of the optical properties of rare-earth-doped BaCO revealed the existence of energy transfer from Dy ions to Eu ions. 88 pp. Englisch.

Los resultados obtenidos mediante DRX revelaron que las muestras están constituidas por la fase BaCO¿ de estructura ortorrómbica. Utilizamos la teoría de Judd-Offelt para calcular los parámetros de Judd y deducir las probabilidades de emisión espontánea, las vidas de los niveles emisores y el rendimiento cuántico de la emisión. Los resultados mostraron que el BaCO3:Eu3+ dopado al 1 % presentaba características favorables para la emisión láser en la zona roja. En la segunda parte, estudiamos las propiedades espectroscópicas del ion Eu3+/Dy3+ en la matriz. Los resultados obtenidos mediante resonancias paramagnéticas electrónicas (RPE) confirman la presencia de iones Eu ¿ y Dy ¿ en BaCO¿ a través de la resonancia de sus electrones no apareados.
