    3 issues of this fairly uncommon Southern literary magazine which took up the mantle of such publications astheDouble Dealer,beginning publication in September of 1930. This lot includes issues #4, 8, and 10: Sept 27, Oct 25, and Nov15. The New Orleanianwas published bimonthly and included "a varied banquet of tasty reading, seasoned just right from. [the] gossip section. through the more solid content in its feature-stories, photographs, art-work, and the like." Sherwood Anderson, Lyle Saxon, Roark Bradford, Albert Goldstein and others published works in the magazine. Copiously and beautifully illustrated in a lavishly large format. 3 vols., 30x22cm, 42, 34, and 42pp. Advertisements, illustrations. Stapled wrappers. Some rubbing to covers and along edges. Some scattered staining. Contents clean. Generally very good.
