Gerry O'Hara (1924) is an English film and television director. O'Hara was an assistant director on Laurence Olivier's film, Richard III; the Carol Reed film, Our Man in Havana and the Academy Award-winning Tom Jones. John Brason is a British script writer and script editor, best known for the series made in collaboration with television producer Gerard Glaister, Colditz and Secret Army, both set during World War II. Slight rust at metal fastenings, neat inked number '21' on the front cover with slight edgewear, otherwise sound, clean, very good.

Second Draft script for an unproduced film. Single manuscript ink annotation on the title page, noting the name PALUCHOWICZ. Based on Slawomir Rawicz' autobiographical 1956 book, which detailed his troubled, epic escape from a Gulag labor camp in 1941, traveling from Siberia to India, crossing the Gobi Desert and Himalayas. Rawicz' novel was later used as the basis for the 2010 film "The Way Back," directed by Peter Weir. Maroon untitled wrappers with a die-cut title window in the British style. Title page present, dated September 1972, noted as 2nd Draft, with credits for screenwriters John Brason and Jeremy Paul, and novelist Slavomir Rawicz. 159 leaves, with last page of text numbered 154. Mimeograph duplication on eye-rest green stock, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound internally with two silver brads.
