    Original paper boards. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. 2 volume set; Vol 1 has 48 page introduction and preface with portrait engraved frontispiece + 210 pages and 6 leaves of "notes" Vol 2 has Viii pp + 264 pages and 16 leaves of notes, both volumes disbound but original paper boards present and in uncut condition as issued, minor spotting and closed tear to half title in vol 2. Octavo size but bound in 12's [Duedecimo]. Very good. * The actor died a few months after collapsing on stage at the Richmond Theatre in 1833 with his son Charles and with whom he had just been reconciled, he made and spent vast amounts of money. His trips to the USA were immensely successful and tickets were auctioned on many occasions, (except at Boston) he was made a chief of Huron Indians and called "Alantenouidet", his roles in theatres all over Britain and the Continent are all detailed, and the loss of his memory to acquire new roles in his latter years, yet be able to continue with his repertoire of old roles. His roles at Drury lane and the management of Dr Drury, etc,
