ALL UK PARCELS SENT TRACKED! ALL OVERSEAS PARCELS SENT AIRMAIL, TRACKED! (S/hand, Hardcover, 1920). ND c.1920. 8vo (151 x 211mm). Pp243. B/w illustrations by Henry Evison, pictorial cloth by Jan Rinke. Slight browning to edges, some use but cloth bright. Good-plus. "Martin Crusoe. 'In the Holidays Library' for Boys and Girls. Series A - Boys Books". Dutch translation of Martin Crusoe: A Boy's Adventures on Wizard Island, originally published by George G. Harrap, London, 1920. The Dutch edition states "age group 12-16". A stirring read as our hero escapes by flying boat from Vikings encountered in the Sargasso Sea. An easy read in modern standard Dutch with no case endings and more or less current spelling. This edition has a very nice pictorial cover by Jan Rinke showing scouts which has little to do with the adventure story within, and gives the author as "F.C. Bridges". Martin Crusoe was also translated into French in the interwar years as Le raid mysterieux de Martin Crusoe: au coeur des Sargasses (Martin Crusoe's Mysterious Cruise: At the Heart of the Sargasso Sea). .
