Light wear, front hinge cracked but the binding is sound; light offsetting from plates, occasional pale spotting to contents, otherwise clean and bright; heraldic bookplate of James Frampton. A room-by-room descriptive catalogue of "every object worthy of. Notice," mostly old master and British paintings, in Knole House. The book also includes a history of Knole and the Sackville Family, as well as a brief biography of George Sackville (1793-1815) , the Duke of Dorset.
