Maroon cloth boards, decorated with stamp work and gilding (rubbed all round). 12mo. Internally mostly bright and tight with occasional spotting and previous owner's name on bastard title page. Some tanning on early pages. Full colour frontispiece. The now hard to find Wakefield edition of this amusing little book. A later edition - known as the Halifax edition - came later and is a little easier to find. A little gem of a book typical of and revealing about its time.
