Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Signed, inscribed, and dated on the ffep by the author, Dr. Abraham Briloff, for the bookseller. However, Dr. Briloff was at the time almost totally blind and some lines are on top of other lines and what he said in total is extremely hard to make out. However, his signature is at the bottom and it is dated 2/28/03. For this reason, the book is heavily discounted. At the time of writing of this book Dr. Briloff had taken the lead in exposing dubious, inconsistent and frequently incongruous accounting practices. A smudge on the back cover of the dust jacket and some chipping at the edges of the front cover. Dust jacket is protected in an archival quality cover. Still, all in all, a decent copy. Signed By the Author.

HARD BACK BLACK. inscribed by author" To Dear Emmanuel Saxe with Sincere Affection to the Only Man who could take the chutzpah out of Briloff, Abraham J. Briloff, May 3, 1973, A Day to Remember", one very small tear on back of dustjacket at top. Emanuel Saxe 1902-1987 Emanuel Saxe, a 1923 graduate of the School of Business, with a Diploma in Accounting, returned to his alma mater in 1928 to begin a distinguished career as a scholar, educator and administrator. He became Chairman of the Accountancy Department in 1950 and in 1956 was named Dean of the School of Business--a position which he held for twelve years. His sincere concern for his students and the college led to the School of Business being referred to informally as "Saxe's 23rd Street". During his administration, he was instrumental in bringing the business honor society, Beta Gamma Sigma to Baruch, helping to start the Baruch College Fund, and working toward the accreditation of the school by the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business. In his later years, he was named Martin Wollman Distinguished Professor and City University Distinguished Professor, both in Accountancy. The Baruch College community has a wonderful legacy left by its distinguished alumnus, Emanuel Saxe DATE PUBLISHED: 1972 EDITION: 365 AS NEW Emanuel Saxe. JACKET: VERY GOOD DJ.
