Each volume has a different floral pattern on its cloth boards. Unfortunately the floral cloth boards are a mess, with fraying throughout on every edge and suface. Soil. Title plate is tipped onto each front board. Tipped in plate has a gold crane design and title in gold. Volume 4 has a burn mark on it's front board. Texts are clean and are bound in Japanese style, (uncut) with boards tied together. First free endpapers of a few volumes are folded and some have separated, but they are present. Collotype prints of Japanese flowers by K. Ogawa. The photographs are all made and colored by hand in Japan by over 350 native artists. Text pages are printed on cream coated paper stock.
